Christmas 2012

(This is a long one...sorry)
We had Christmas at our house the weekend before our trip up North.

Everything goes in her mouth.

And of course, the twins switched presents.  Julianna wanted the lawn mower so 

Christian pushed the vacuum.

Thanks for the train table Santa!

We had Christmas with the Dennis' the night before leaving.  

Thank you Nana and Papa and all our Aunts, Uncles and cousins!

The next weekend we took off at 5am for Grammy's house.  We broke the trip up into two days and stayed all night in Andover, Kansas.

Lots of sight seeing,

busy work,

and of course, sleeping.

The hotel was a welcome change of pace for us all!

On Christmas Eve we opened presents from our cousins before church.

Emerson was happy to help everyone open presents.  She really wanted the paper and the boxes.

After church we had dinner at the Grange Hall and Santa came!  There was also a piano, a stage and a ramp to run around and play on.

She woke up in time for Santa!

Julianna didn't cry but she wouldn't sit on his lap.

Christian did great!

 Emerson wasn't so sure.  She liked Grandpa's lap much better.

On Christmas day we woke up, had breakfast and opened presents from Grammy and Grandpa.

New toys: a semi and hot wheels!

We got to stay at Grammy's for a week with Aunt Missy and our cousins Bella and Lydia.

Emmie loves to play with her big brother!

 Christian was so happy to play legos and hot wheels that I don't think he 

even noticed he was the only boy.

We got to eat and sing with Bella at Grandma's little table.

Santa!

We went to see the big guy last week.  I was fearing the worst but it turned out okay, as long as I was in the picture too.  Julianna has a death grip on me but they each talked to Santa when it was time to go.  And then the dreaded "need to potty" while paying at the cashier. 

Yikes!  Not ready for that part of potty training.

I tried to get a few more shots when we got home but it was nearing bedtime.

 

 



 

 

Now, if it would just cool down it would "feel" like Christmas!

6 months old

 

We are so surprised with this little girl every day.  She just can't wait to keep up with her brother and sister.  She is crawling and starting to pull up on things which has led us to lower her bed.  The floor is her favorite place to be.  She continues to be the happiest baby ever! 
 Emerson was 14 lbs. 12 oz and 25.75 inches long at her 6 month check up.  She seems to like fruit but her veggies come right back out...just like her brother!  She is drinking 4-6oz bottles and has been sleeping all night in the nursery.
 

They are all enjoying the Christmas decorations.  C and J tried to help decorate while I was distracted with Emmie's photo shoot.
