5 months old

We can't believe how fast this little one is growing up. 

Emerson is doing everything a month before the twins!  At 5 months she is putting everything in her mouth.  She likes to suck on her arm and fist.  She has found her feet and her voice (she says mmmmm).  She is up on all fours, scoots backwards and spins around.  She's sitting with support and trying to sit up on her own. She loves watching the twins and the TV.  She is eating four 6 oz. bottles and has had cereal, avocado and sweet potatoes. 

We are squeezing her into size 1 diapers (still have 3 packs left) and size 3-6 month clothes. 

She is a great sleeper (and has moved into the nursery).

This baby is so happy all the time!

Cereal

Emerson has started cereal and man is she messy.  She's starting a month earlier than the twins did.  I don't remember them getting so much all over.

 

 

She has definitely found her voice and she's recently discovered her feet.  She also rolls everywhere.  No more leaving the room with Emmie on the blanket.

 

The Pumpkin Patch

We've been talking about pumpkins for awhile now...
 

all in preparation for our visit to the pumpkin patch today!

 



 

Too bad we had one grumpy two year old!  I guess one out of three isn't bad.  It was 90 degrees and very crowded so I can't blame her.

 

They did both LOVE climbing the pumpkin pile!

 

 

 

Christian went all the way to the top.

 

Daddy had to figure out how to help him down.

Julianna found some pumpkins with stickers.  Some pumpkins made good seats.
 

 

The goat was still there.

 

 

One thing is for sure, pumpkins are so heavy.  These were, in her words, humongous!

 

 

The pumpkin patch was much more work for Mommy and Daddy this year.

 

 

 

My how time flies.  And to think, last year this one was just a bean.

 

 

She was a ghost today but she didn't make it out of the carseat/stroller. 

Such a happy girl!

Getting Excited for Fall

or for pumpkins at least!

 

4 months old

Our litte one is already 4 months old!  She was 12lbs 12 oz and 23 inches long at our 4 month check up yesterday.  She is drinking 4-6 oz and we get to start solids this month.  My favorite thing from Ms. Emerson is that she is sleeping soundly from 8:30 pm to 8 am and on her tummy!  She is also getting slobbery and sucking on everything she can get her hands on.  We are on the lookout for that first little tooth.  Emerson loves to watch the twins and tell us stories.  Here is our happy baby girl!

She is such a sweet angel baby, always so laid back.  She never cries!
