A Fall Trip to the Zoo

We hadn't been to the zoo since February.  We went last weekend to see the baby giraffe.  We also hadn't seen the new gorilla exhibit yet.

This was our first time to stop and feed the giraffes.  So fun!

J still loves the baby elephant.

And of course some of our other favorites.  There were even some baby flamingos.

Ballet Dancers and a Soccer Player

We are taking a break from swimming lessons this fall.  Ballet has started back up for Julianna and Emerson is also old enough to join in this year.  We are so grateful that Ms. Kerri is still having ballet class at their school.  (one less thing to do after school or on the weekends)
They both love it and look forward to Tuesdays.

Christian has also started soccer.  His first practice was last Sunday.  He was really excited at first but ready to quit after about 45 minutes.  We cheered him up and he's ready for his first game.

Practice is at 3:00 and it is still pretty hot.  It will take some getting used to.  Game day tomorrow!

Our Brave Little Girl

After five sinus infections since December of 2015 our ENT doctor decided to remove Emerson's  adenoids today.  The doc said they were blocking two-thirds of her nasal passage.  She was so good and so brave!  The nurses were also pretty amazing. Thank you Dr. Cordes.
We are very hopeful this will take care of her sinus issues.  Fingers Crossed.
She took her yellow blanket (of course) and her Lexus.

She was back at home resting very shortly after surgery and was up and playing after about an hour of that.  She didn't act like she had just had surgery.  We had to keep a thumb on her to keep her from running and jumping like usual.

This surgery was much harder on me than her, I'm sure!
