So thankful...
...for growing, healthy babies.
We went to get our second RSV shot yesterday and were able to get our current weights. Julianna is now 10lbs. 10oz. and Christian is an even 11lbs. We can't believe how fast they are growing. They have also started vocalizing more this week which we are having a lot of fun with.
This morning Christian was talking to this purple hippo and finished with a great finale.

Welcome!
So, I thought I'd start at the beginning and then do my best to post somewhat regularly. I am back at work now so we will see how this goes.
When you find out you are expecting twins they are referred to as baby A and baby B, baby A being the baby that will be born first. Julianna was our sweet baby A and Christian was our feisty baby B.
To start at the beginning, we met our twins at 35 weeks (2 weeks before our scheduled c-section). Jimmy drove to Dallas the afternoon before the babies arrived. He kept missing all the big belly movements so I recorded that nights activities for him. Little did I know the babies were telling me they were ready to stretch out.
I started having painless contractions at 2am and headed to the hospital at 5am to get checked out. The first nurse said I would probably be sent home on bedrest. Then at 7am, shift change, I got a new nurse that said call your husband the babies are coming today. Jimmy got in the car and was on the road at 8am. She also said the doctor wasn't going to be able to wait for him to get to the hospital because he had another c-section after me. I was scheduled to go in at 10:30. Thankfully, the doctor was running late and Jimmy made it to the hospital just in time. I remember hearing Jimmy come into the operating room with the doctor right behind him. Julianna was born at 11:48am (4lbs. 5 oz.) and Christian followed at 11:49am (5lbs. 7oz.).
Here is a photo story of our first two months together.
