Under Construction but Life Must Go On

We found out the day before our Christmas trip to Iowa that our dishwasher had been leaking for perhaps a few months.  It was ruining the floors in our living room and that was the only visible damage.  When they came to tear up the floors we found out that the water had also destroyed the cabinets under the sink and the dry wall in the kitchen and living room.  What a mess!  We have been living in boxes and on concrete ever since the end of December.  We should be back up and running within the next three weeks.  Fingers crossed.

Four fans and two dehumidifiers running for three days and nights.

The floors go throughout the entire downstairs so it will all need to be ripped up.

Fun with flooring samples!

Thankfully he was able to leave the sink in tack and the new dishwasher installed.  He wasn't sure if he'd be able too.  That would have made the last five weeks much, much harder so we're counting as many  blessings as we can!

The twins were doing their homework tonight and it was so cute.  I feel like I do an extra reading group every night at home.  That makes five groups a day.  :)
This last reading group is my absolute favorite though.  I'm always so impressed with their reading and even how they can ignore distractions named Emerson and Stro.
Our biggest blessings of all!

Emerson is learning so much too.  She is saying the biggest words.  I wish I was writing more down.  Her month at Goddard.

Those good times I mentioned.

Lots of puzzles and coloring and movies.

Fish tail braids by Aunt Missy.

We met Grandpa for his lunch break and took him to Taco John's.  I already miss those potato oles.

The sunrise as we got ready to head back to Texas.
