CHRISTMAS

It worked!  We woke up to a white Christmas Eve!  Even the windows were pretty.  But brrrr!

This is what the native's call a "dusting" but we are okay with that.

Santa pancakes and then out to the snow we go!

It's so fun and very, very cold!  Grammy had winter boots and snow pants for them but they were
not so sure about the snow pants.

Back inside for games, movies and the countdown to Christmas Eve service, ham balls and presents.

We love you Jesus!

Grammy read The Night Before Christmas and then it was finally time for presents
from Grammy and Grandpa.

Time for bed to listen for Santa.  Daddy woke us up at 5am.

Let's try out this Switch.

Aunt Missy came and played nail salon.

Then we went to Uncle Matt's to check out the new barn and see the horses.

It is so cold outside!

DECEMBER

We have lots of December recitals this month.  It started off with Christian's piano recital.  He has been doing zoom lessons since March and has decided to stop piano this month.  We are going to look into guitar lessons next summer.

Emerson is trying to learn how to French braid.  I'm afraid I'm not much help.  We should learn together. She needed a braid for her cheer recital.

Emerson had her Christmas cheer recital.  She just got started in October.  She was ready to have a break from ballet so tumbling and cheer are up.

Then we had a holiday silks performance.  They love silks.  I think Emerson loves silks the most!  Emerson is on year three.  Julianna just started this past summer.

Then we had the Nutcracker recital and Christian's last soccer game at the same time on the same day.  We had to divide and conquer.

They got to soccer and it was rained out.  Rescheduled for Sunday afternoon.

Ready for holiday cheer!

Ugly sweater cookies to decorate.

Drive-in movie night at church - The Polar Express

Gifts from Aunt Kara before our trip.

And a view of the planets.  We ate dinner at Chuy's and we could see Saturn and Jupiter out the window over a parking garage off 249.

Mom got a better picture from the farm.

Iowa - here we come!

And there was some snow left for us.  They were so excited to touch the snow they ran
out first thing after breakfast.

Snowball fight!

Now, all bundled up.  Thanks for the boots and snow pants Grammy.  Back out for round 2.

Present time with the cousins.

Iowa cousin crew...

Cuddle up there is snow in the forecast.  Our fingers were crossed so tight.
And then...
