Christian just can't believe his Grandpa is a farmer. He would ask me before every nap and before bed "Grandpa's a farmer?" When I answered yes he would say "Yes, I see his farm." (meaning out the windows he could see the buildings and silos) By the end of the two weeks I guess it sunk in. He was saying "Grandpa's a farmer!" and Julianna was answering yes. He loved watching tractors drive down the road. That's not something we see out our windows at home.
This was our last tractor ride the day before we left. Doing more laps around the farm.
Julianna wouldn't get out until she had a turn to steer.
Out to check on the cornfield. They are getting lots of rain right now.
Toddler high by the fourth of July?
Grandpa showed them how to climb the ladder but no one would try. Maybe next summer.
They did check out an empty grain bin. It's dark in there. Daddy disappeared.
We will have to go back sometime in the fall. Christian's new phrase this trip was "Oh my goodness!"
Can't wait to show him the combine!
