...and it was soooooo COLD! I mean 50 degrees cold and windy and we were freezing. Emerson played first at 10:30 and then we ate lunch in the car to warm up for thirty minutes before the twins played at noon. The temp was dropping as the day went on. Let's hope that's the last cold front for the season but let's also hope we don't jump to straight hot next weekend.
Good news- they both won their first games. Emerson scored two goals!
The Orange Crush
This one was so close.
Lunch break and thaw session.
The Pink Ninja's
coin toss
So COLD she crawled in the wagon and covered up.
We forgot to take our pics before soccer so here we are after, all wind blown and trying to warm up and change quick before going to the Galleria to visit Daddy at work. Then off to Little Preston's birthday party.
The Easter Bunny delivered glowing eggs again this year with new little, tiny caterpillars. A great interruption to movie night.
Once again we followed the Easter Story with our Resurrection Eggs. We also dyed our own Easter eggs the day before Easter. Emerson taught us all just what to do.
We found this book a couple years ago and it is so funny.
On Easter Sunday the girls got up in the middle of the night and they found an egg at the top of the stairs that said OPEN NOW. They came to wake us up at 3:00 am to see what they should do. Ha! We went back to bed and made them stay in our bed until we could see the sun. The Easter Bunny sent us on a scavenger hunt which was so fun to watch.
Then we went to the 9:00 service and on to Kelsey's house for Easter dinner. After lunch the kids did their egg hunt. Then the annual confetti egg toss/war.
Jelly beans!
Poor Christian got a splinter from the fence under this thumb nail so I didn't get any pictures of the hunt. Kevin helped us get it out. Christian was such a trooper. I know how much that smarts.
Despite our best efforts to remain old school we have given in and created a blog to share the joys of parenting twins plus one with family and friends. Enjoy!
